Case Case Study: Recreation Health Clubs
Recreation Health Clubs operate throughout Victoria and are fast becoming the largest competitor to Fitness First.
In 2007 Recreation Health Club’s franchisee owner Joanne Russell recognised the need to establish a software solution for the franchise that would not only assist them in their day to day operations, but also work with them to grow the chain. This was the start of what has already been a phenomenal partnership between Links Modular Solutions and Recreation Health Clubs.
Links is now installed in 7 clubs with more to shortly follow. Two clubs are now installed with complete RFID solutions including Turnstile Entry, Locker Control and Card Cash facilities. This means that a member of recreation only needs to remember one item when they visit. If they need to buy a drink, no worries the customer service staff simply deduct the amount from their prepaid membership card in 1 simple steps.
At Recreation our philosophy does not deviate from “exceeding our member’s expectation for service”. With the RFID and the Links system we believe this helps us immensely in accomplishing this. We love the idea of members being able to have cash on their membership card to make internal purchases simpler and easier and do have the worry about bringing in credit cards or wallets/purses. Now the member’s card can be used on vending machines and is fantastic for access control”.

Case Study: Docklands YMCA - Victoria (Australia)
With over 1200 sq. metres of health and fitness positioned in an exclusive pocket of Melbourne’s CBD entwined in motivating views of Victoria Harbour.
